Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouq stressed that Lebanon is facing a new form of terrorism, praising a new partnership between the Lebanese army and the security apparatuses in dealing with any terror incident.
Al-Mashnouq represented PM Saad Hariri during a conference on the International Day for Disaster Reduction, where he noted that the unprecedented coordination between the security apparatuses led to success of the preemptive operations and to the arrest and dismantling of terrorist cells.
“A central operations room was established at the Interior Ministry for the coordination between the security apparatuses,” he added.
