VIDEO – Habib Shartouni sentenced to death in Bachir Gemayel assassination case

The Judicial Council issued Friday the final verdict in the case of assassination of martyr President Bachir Gemayel, sentencing Habib Shartouni and Nabil al-Alam to death and depriving them of all their civil rights.

The council had held five previous sessions before the final verdict.

Official figures from the Lebanese Forces and Kataeb parties attended the trial.
