Higher Council for Defense: Israel building wall along border violates resolution 1701

The Higher Council for Defense declared on Friday that President Michel Aoun has given his directions for the leaders of the security apparatuses to preserve security in the country.

The Council’s comments were made in a statement after a security meeting presided by President Aoun.

In the statement, the Council said that it briefed Aoun about its needs to counter terrorism ahead of Rome conference.

On another note, the Council considered that Israel building a wall along the Blue Line is a violation of resolution 1701.
