“The Insult” among those earning foreign language Oscar nods

The nominations for the Oscars were announced on Tuesday with films representing Chile, Lebanon, Russia, Sweden and Hungary left to compete for the Best Foreign Language Film award.

Lebanon's “The Insult” is an explosive political drama which starts out as a fight over home repairs that turns into a national crisis.

The movie is directed by Ziad Doueiri.
