Speaker Nabih Berri reiterated the need to hasten the approval of the 2018 budget to refer it to the parliament.
Speaking during Wednesday’s deputies gathering, Berri said that in case the budget was not referred to the parliament by March 5, it will be nearly impossible to pass it.
On the oil issue, the speaker said that Lebanon’s position is united and in solidarity in order to defend Lebanon’s sovereignty, oil wealth and borders.
Berri also met in Ain al-Tineh with MP Bahia Hariri and General Security Director General Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim.
