A protest was staged Monday evening outside the embassy of Saudi Arabia in Beirut, to express solidarity with Jerusalem and the Palestinian people.
Dozens of protesters gathered along the road leading to the embassy, chanting slogans against the kingdom, protesting against moving the US embassy to Jerusalem and denouncing the killing of dozens of Palestinians in Gaza.
The movement was staged amid tight security measures that isolated the embassy, preventing the demonstrators from reaching it.
The protesters burnt an Israeli flag before leaving the scene.
