Rai from Baabda: Leaders must facilitate formation of the government

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai called on the political powers on Monday to facilitate the formation of a government that will be up to the financial, economic and political challenges, mainly fighting corruption.

Rai’s comments were made following his meeting with President Michel Aoun in the Baabda Presidential Palace whereby he urged the leaders not to put obstacles to the government’s formation.

“The public interest is above all other interests,” he added.
