During the 25th session of the Arab Economic Forum, sponsored by Prime Minister-designate, Saad Hariri, the Governor of Lebanon’s Central Bank, Riad Salameh affirmed that Lebanon maintained stability of its currency against US dollar. He pointed out that the priorities of the new government should be the execution of the Cedar conference decisions and reforms.
Salameh added that “Lebanon’s Central Bank met with the International Monetary Fund to discuss the necessity of decreasing the deficit while adopting a conservative policy which will not change as long as the reforms haven’t been achieved yet,” stressing that these reforms serve the interest of Lebanon and its economy.
