Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri declared Tuesday that “the final draft of the cabinet still needs a little while to be reached,” noting that, despite the lack of progress, the tension between the parties have decreased.
“I do not like to put the blame on anyone, we are all aware of the nature of the obstacles,” he pointed out, stating that he will visit the president once a new development arises.
In the same context, Hariri said that the March 8 and 14 alliances have ended and Lebanon is a state that has its own issues, stressing the need to form a national unity government where all the parties can cooperate, rather than create problems.
The PM explained that the regional situation is not related in the obstruction of the cabinet formation, noting that “this is purely Lebanese failure.”
“The relations with Saudi Arabia are special and excellent and the kingdom is keen on hastening the formation process,” he added.
