Bangladeshi man freed after being kidnapped in Jounieh - PHOTOS

The Internal Security Forces issued on Wednesday a statement in which it said that a Bangladeshi national was rescued after being kidnapped and tortured.

The Bangladeshi man who was identified only by his initials as A. A. (born in 1977) was abducted in Haret Sakher’s neighborhood of Jounieh while he was heading to work.

The abductors took him to an unknown location, and demanded him to pay a ransom.

This as the Information Branch managed in less than 48 hours to identify the captors and the car used in the abduction.

 

Later on, a patrol carried out a raid on the house of the main suspect in Ghadir and arrested him. He informed the patrol about the whereabouts of the kidnapped Bangladeshi.

Another raid was carried out in the region of Kfar Hbab where the abducted was released and the abductors were arrested.
