Rai and Ibrahim meet, tackle Syrian refugees crisis

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai met on Friday with Lebanese general Security head major General Abbas Ibrahim.

Discussions reportedly featured high over the Syrian refugees crisis, whereby Rai stressed the need to follow up on the dossier.

“This issue must be followed up on, mainly because their long stay in Lebanon increases the economic and social burdens on the country, he added.

On another note, Rai and Ibrahim both agreed on the importance of the swift formation of the new Cabinet  and the need of “all sides to present sacrifices.”
