Following the first session of closing arguments at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon in the case of the assassination of late PM Rafiq Hariri, the PM-designate stated that the evidence has already been found and discussed, and today they are drawing their conclusions from what has been presented so that the judges can take a decision in this matter.

“Since the beginning, we have called for justice because it protects Lebanon, we have never resorted to revenge since Rafik Hariri was a man of justice,” he said, stressing that the truth will come out.

Hariri emphasized that those who committed the crime will pay the price sooner or later, noting that the verdict will be issued within months.

Answering a question concerning the accusations targeting Hezbollah in the assassination of his father, Hariri said: “When I am in this position, I have to put my emotions aside.”
