Hariri: What was said during a TV interview does not reflect Lebanon’s national position

Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri stressed his rejection to any criticism towards the state of Kuwait and its Emir, noting that what has been said during an interview aired on a TV channel is a statement that does not reflect the Lebanese atmosphere.

During his meeting with the Kuwaiti ambassador to Lebanon in Beit al-Wasat, Hariri noted that the Lebanese judiciary has started investigating this matter in order to apply the law, which protects everyone, including the interests of Lebanon and the Lebanese people.

Journalist Salem Zahran has said in an interview with al-Manar channel that the Kuwaiti Emir is subjected to pressures by the United States concerning the issue of oil contracts.
