Aoun: Foreign public opinion is adamant on making Hezbollah an enemy
President Michel Aoun said on Monday that the foreign public opinion is adamant on making Hezbollah an enemy.
Aoun’s comments were made in an interview with the “Le Figaro” magazine whereby he stressed that Lebanon is adopting a self-dissociation policy regarding the regional crisi, especially in Syria.
“Not a single bullet will be shot from the Lebanese territories if Israel does not attack Lebanon,” Aoun stressed.
“Israel is seeking to divide the region into sectarian parts,” he added.
As for the Syrian refugee crisis, Aoun noted that Lebanon waits for France and Europe supporting the gradual and safe return of the Syrian refugees and contributing to the UNRWA and the Cedre’s projects.
“One out of three residents in Lebanon is either displaced or refugee,” Aoun noted.
