The evening legislative session lasted for approximately one hour before being adjourned by Speaker Nabih Berri due to the withdrawal of the Lebanese Forces deputies.
In the details, when the deputies reached the item 17 related to the teachers, Berri wanted to pass an agreement for two loans to expand the port of Tripoli before starting the discussion of item 17, leading the Lebanese Forces deputies to intervene requesting to pass an item from outside the agenda related to opening a credit to fund the medications for cancer and other diseases. Therefore, MP Elias Bou Saab insisted on proceeding according to the agenda, to which the LF MPs decided to withdraw.
In this context, MP Ziad Hawat said that they will not proceed with the agenda.
The deputies of the Future Movement also withdrew, forcing Berri to adjourn the session.
Sources from the Development and Liberation bloc told LBCI that when Berri adjourned the session, the quorum was maintained with 67 deputies.
