President Michel Aoun followed up on the ongoing contacts aiming at forming the new government in light of recent developments and stances voiced by a number of parliamentary blocs in that respect.
In this context, Aoun told his visitors that the issue of the government is currently a top priority, expressing his hope that the cabinet will be formed the soonest possible, so that the ministers can start facing the various challenges, chief among which the economic ones.
At the Baabda palace, the president held a series of meetings, where he met with former MP Neemtallah Abi Nasr, who tackled the recent political developments and the needs of the people of Keserwan, including the importance of appointing a governor for the region of Keserwan-Jbeil.
He later met with a delegation from Jezzine governmental hospital, who urged the President to intervene to end an administrative conflict that led them to declare strike.
Accordingly, Aoun carried out the necessary contacts with the concerned sides.
