Sayyed Nasrallah says significant progress made in cabinet formation process

Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said Friday that there have been many fallacies circulating on the cabinet issue and the positive drive, for example the link between Lebanon and Iraq and reports of a US-Iranian agreement in Iraq, stressing the what has been happening in Iraq stems from the will of the real Iraqis and the failure of the US policy in the country.

In a speech he delivered during a ceremony, Nasrallah stressed that Iran is not intervening in the governmental issue, responding to reports stating that the Iranians have allowed the cabinet to be formed.

“We do not interfered in the formation process or the distribution of the ministerial portfolios and shares, and we do not impose our will on any of the political blocs regarding the cabinet,” Hezbollah chief noted, emphasizing that this matter must be exclusively discussed by the president and the prime minister-designate.

He also added that a significant progress has been registered in the formation process, but there are several obstacles pending resolution, stressing the importance of the government for the country on all levels.

Commenting on Khashoggi’s disappearance crisis, Nasrallah stated that he will not launch any attack in this regard, noting however that the Trump administration seems to be “in a tight spot” and the Saudi rulers in a difficult position, pointing out that the results of this crisis are what the important thing.

Addressing the rulers of Saudi Arabia, he said that the time has come to take a brave decision to end the war on Yemen, since the international cover has started collapsing.
