Hariri meets representatives of Lebanese TV channels
Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri met on Monday with representatives of Lebanese TV channels in Bayt al-Wasat.

The premier held talks with representatives of LBCI, Future TV, OTV and New TV in the presence of advisors Hani Hammoud and Nabil Yammout.

During the meeting, the representatives submitted to Hariri a memorandum whereby they stated that the internet’s development during the last few years has put the TV industry face to face with a challenge to change the way it works.

They also suggested turning the channels from an open free TV into a paid encoded TV and finding modern methods for watching the content on e-platforms that enable live broadcasting and VOD in any place in the world.
