Colonel Moussalem to LBCI: Traffic accidents dropped 13% since implementation of new traffic law
Head of the Internal Security Forces public relations department Colonel Joseph Moussalem said on Saturday that Lebanon’s traffic crisis is "growing and heads to worse."
“The whole country suffers from a huge traffic problem and roads do not bear anymore the vehicles flow,” he said during an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said TV show one day after the Lebanese army’s rehearsals for Independence parade saw the roads closed for hours in Beirut.

He also noted that the ISF directorate will take the necessary measures during Christmas and the New Year to avoid the suffocating traffic.

On another note, Moussalem said that the rate of traffic accidents dropped 13% since the implementation of the new traffic law.

He also stressed that traffic accidents fatalities dropped 18%, while injuries dropped 14%.
