Samir Kassab’s brother to LBCI: Hopes for reaching the truth have increased

Following the report aired by LBCI, prepared by reporter Edmond Sassine who revealed information about kidnapped Lebanese cameraman Samir Kassab, the latter’s brother George Kassan said that they are in possession of several names of people who met Samir, adding that not long ago, they received from Sky News a video of a person saying that a Lebanese journalist was jailed in a prison that resembles the one that appeared in Saturday’s report. He said that when he received the video, he showed to caretaker Information Minister Melhem Riachi.

In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, George Kassab said that today their hope to know the truth are growing, calling on the authorities to kick off serious work in this regard.

For his part, reporter Edmond Sassine stated that the last goal is in the region of Hajin.

Commenting on “Jihad” who appeared in the report, Sassine said that he might have hidden some of the information he has, adding that he thinks he have what could lead to the start of the whole truth.

He explained that the Lebanese authorities can take action and form a security committee capable of reaching true facts.

“The goal is to uncover the fate of Samir Kassab,” he emphasized.
