Lebanese Forces Party chief Samir Geagea said Sunday that the Independent Sunni Deputies obstacle which hinders the formation of the government is a fabricated, adding that the proof is that no such bloc participated in the parliamentary consultations, instead, each deputy came as part of his real bloc.
Speaking at a conference for LF partisans in North America via Skype, Geagea stressed that the formation of the government is the sole responsibility of the Prime Minister-designate and the President of the Republic, by virtue of the right given to them by the Constitution.
He also noted that it was difficult to foresee future developments in the government formation process, especially since it is no longer tied to local calculations, pointing out that the delay could last several months.
