Parliament continues discussion of government’s policy for second day
The Parliament convened on Wednesday for a second day of discussions of the government's policy statement.

MP Paula Yacoubian was first to speak and accused Hezbollah of participating in employing more than 5000 people ahead of the parliamentary elections.

For his part, MP Sami Gemayel said that Hezbollah has imposed its Druze and Sunnite allies on the government formation.

In turn, MP Hussein al-Hajj Hassan said that the Lebanese citizen is “worried and desperate,” adding that the state has no economic vision.

He also noted that a national discussion should be conducted with the banks about the debt and debt management.

Meanwhile, Kataeb MP Elias Hankash did not give the Cabinet the vote of confidence, saying that the newly appointed ministers must be for all the Lebanese people and not for their political parties.

This as MP Anwar al-Khalil said that the Minister of State for Combating Corruption did not move a finger to fight corruption.
