Gemayel: No stability with presence of illegal weapons

Kataeb party leader MP Sami Gemayel said on Friday that “no partnership can be done when it is conditioned to abandoning sovereignty and independence."

Gemayel’s comments were made at the opening session of the 31st General Conference of the party in Biel.

He addressed those who say they brought President Michel Aoun to the presidency we say: why don’t you hand over your weapon to him?" in reference to Hezbollah.

“There is an illegal weapon that drags Lebanon into conflicts, this weapon is destabilizing the country,” he added.
