Member of the Future bloc, MP Sami Fatfat said Thursday that each party must start fighting corruption within its own ranks, noting that “the Future Movement represents him in all aspects.”
“The Future Movement has members from all religions and has been politically fighting corruption,” he said, stressing that each party has to start from its own ranks before accusing the opponents.
In an interview with LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Fatfat said that former PM Fouad Siniora has the right to defend himself, since MP Hassan Fadlallah named him, voicing support for Siniora who is ready to take all necessary measures in this regard.
The deputy noted that there is lack of confidence between the Lebanese parties, stating that “it would be better to be monitored from other states in the fight against corruption.”
Regarding Brussels conference, Fatfat said that PM Saad Hariri’s presence will strengthen Lebanon’s position.
