Prime Minister Saad Hariri declared Wednesday that “since 2003, more than 10 studies have been conducted regarding Lebanon’s digital strategy,” stressing the importance of a digital transition as a main factor for innovation.
During a workshop on “Digital Economy Roadmap”, Hariri said that “if we fail to work together, we will not achieve digital economy,” noting that the problem in Lebanon is that “we do not like to work together.”
He added that numerous challenges make it difficult for Lebanon to realize the digital economy plan, such as infrastructure, stressing that the digital economy is a turning point that helps countries succeed.
“We aspire for a cooperative republic where the governmental institutions manage to serve the citizens,” he said.
