Sources from the Interior Ministry told LBCI that talks between Interior Minister Raya al-Hassan and US State Secretary Mike Pompeo focused on the issue of the Syrian refugees and their return.
In this regard, Pompeo stressed the need to remain careful of the dangers posed by the current situation and importance of implementing the required reforms in order to receive the funds pledged during Cedre conference.
The discussions also tackled the aid provided by the United State to the Interior Ministry’s apparatuses, mainly the Interior Security Forces.
