Wahhab to LBCI: Hariri has enough rationality for not responding to US demands

Head of the Tawhid Party Wiam Wahhab asserted on Saturday that Prime Minister Saad Hariri “has enough rationality” for not responding to the US demands “because he knows the reality on the ground.”

Wahab’s comments were made during an interview with LBCI’s TV show whereby he said that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo knows very well that putting pressure on President Michel Aoun “does not work.”

“The US performance in favor of Israel’s interests in the region does not encourage any country to respond to US demands on Palestine and the Golan Heights,” he added.

On another note, Wahhab hailed the “positive” stance of French president Emmanuel Macron on Hezbollah and the Golan Height.

“This stance must be accompanied by a true translation on the ground and an effective role in the region,” he stressed.

“I encourage Macron's visit to Lebanon which has been postponed," Wahhab added.
 
Turning to the economic situation, Wahhab said that the country is on the verge of death on the economic level.

He concluded by saying that the economic problem that Syria suffers from it today will lead to a new displacement movement.
