Kanaan: At least 400 recruitments took place at hospitals without approval of Health Minister

Head of the Finance Committee MP Ibrahim Kanaan declared that more than 400 recruitment processes took place at hospitals without an approval from the Health Minister, noting that this goes against the law.

Following the Finance Committee’s meeting, Kanaan noted that the law of the contract workers is obligatory and an exam must be held upon the call of the ministry.

He added that the supervisory bodies have drafted a joint report on the numbers of contracting and employments, explaining that the violations at the Energy Ministry are almost non-existent in terms of violating norms.

Kanaan stressed that after August 2017, no illegal recruitment has taken place at the Energy Ministry.
