Director of the “Media Focal Center” Salem Zahran stressed that the ministerial committee tasked with reviewing the electricity plan does not have legal form, noting that the plan is heading towards the Public Procurement Management Administration, unless international agreements were made.
“We support the plan presented by Energy Minister Nada Boustani but the Lebanese people have to right to have 24/7 power supply,” he said.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Zahran commented on the judicial file, saying that the Lebanese citizens also have the right to see corrupt judges being held accountable, regardless of the political party they are affiliated with, adding that the only solution lies in the upcoming appointments.
On another note, Zahran said that the return of the Syrian refugees requires a financial push in addition to a political push, noting that if the budget of the Directorate General of General Security was increased, Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim would be able to resolve the issue.
