Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil called Monday on his attorney to take the necessary and appropriate judicial measures against former Minister Ashraf Rifi, after the latter repeated the crimes of defamation.
Bassil’s reply came after a press conference held by Rifi earlier in the day to respond to a court decision ordering him to pay a fine as compensation to Bassil.
The court based its decision on “the fact that Rifi did not submit any evidence for accusing Bassil for corruption and his failure to appear before the court for lack of evidence or document.”
