Berri to Del Col: Lebanon is ready to demarcate Lebanese maritime border and economic zone

Speaker Nabih Berri met on Tuesday with UNIFIL Commander General Stefano Del Col in Ain el-Tineh.

Talks reportedly featured high over the current situation in south Lebanon, the ongoing Israeli violations, the Blue Line and the maritime border.

Berri stressed Lebanon's readiness for the demarcation of the Lebanese maritime border and economic zone through the mechanisms adopted in the demarcation of the Blue Line under the supervision of the United Nations.

For his part, General Del Col voiced the possibility of adopting the same mechanism to demarcate the maritime border, which would strengthen security and stability.
