Head of the Finance and Budget Committee, MP Ibrahim Kanaan declared Thursday the final report related to the hiring issue, revealing that 5473 new employees were hired after August 21, 2017 at institutions and administrations other than the military and security apparatuses, including 470 hired in accordance with the norms and 5013 illegally hired.
“32009 had been hired and employed before August 2017 in a crime committed by governments that violated the laws and the recruitment systems,” he noted.
In this regard, he stressed that the Audit Bureau has the authority to take the necessary decision in the cases of illegal hiring after August 21, 2017, adding that the committee has submitted all the documents and reports available to the Public Prosecution, in order to facilitate the task.
“The committee is fully convinced that the monitoring bodies are not operating properly, had it not been for the Finance Committee, the illegal hiring issue and the violations committed in this regard would have passed unnoticed,” Kanaan explained.
The deputy stated that the committee holds all officials involved in violating the law number 46 responsible for wasting public funds, urging the parliament to hold them accountable.
