Prime Minister Saad Hariri declared Wednesday that he agreed with President Michel Aoun over a course of action to accelerate the work of the government, mainly since the country is facing a difficult economic phase.
He stressed that the most important thing is to make achievements for the Lebanese citizens, noting that speeches made on the media must be stopped.
Speaking from Baabda, he said that the government has drafted a historic budget, adding that a cabinet session will be held next week. “I spoke to Speaker Nabih Berri and asked him to speed up the approval of the budget by the parliament,” the PM explained.
Hariri stressed that there is no disagreement with President Michel Aoun over the issue of the appointments.
Commenting on the strike staged by the Lebanese University professors, Hariri said that they do not have the right to hold a strike, adding that this behavior is unacceptable since the budget does not affect them.
