Cabinet session ends as Hariri insists on passing budget and McKenzie’s plan in July

Telecommunications Minister Mohammad Choucair declared Tuesday that Prime Minister Saad Hariri insisted during the cabinet session on the need to pass the budget and McKenzie’s plan during the month of July.

“The cabinet tackled the issue of the Lebanese University strike where Education Minister Akram Chouhayeb said that there has been a progress in the negotiations,” he stated, noting that next Thursday will be a normal academic day.

Following the session, Choucair revealed that Hariri asked Economy Minister Mansour Bteish to review the qualitative fee, stressing the importance of preserving the Lebanese commercial institutions.

He also noted that the ministers agreed not to increase expenses in the 2020 budget.
