Palestinian refugees block camps’ entrances to protest against Labor Ministry decision (Photos)

Palestinian refugees blocked the entrances to their camps in a number of Lebanese regions, to protest against a decision by the Labor Ministry to impose work permits on Palestinian workers.

The protesters blocked the entrances of Ain al-Helweh and Miyeh W Miyeh camps in the southern city of Sidon, since the early morning hours with burning tires and closed down a number of institutions within the camps.

In Tyre, the entrances of Al-Rachidieh and al-Burj al-Chamali camps were blocked with burning tires, where the protesters called on the Lebanese officials to retract this decision, deeming it a plan to create sedition between the Lebanese and the Palestinians in Lebanon.

The protests also reached al-Jalil camp in Baalbek.
