MP Chamel Roukoz stressed that his position during the parliament session will be to drop the items that include reductions affecting the wages of the servicemen and the public sector.
Speaking from the sit-in staged by the military personnel in central Beirut, Roukoz answered a question on whether his position contradicts the stance of the “Strong Lebanon” bloc, he said that “he will say what he wants and the backbone of the Strong Lebanon bloc is the military.”
Addressing the protesters, Roukoz said: “We regret seeing you on the streets demanding your rights at a time when the state should have protected these rights.”
