Environment Minister opens Tripoli Palm Islands nature reserve

Minister of Environment Fadi Jreissati opened on Saturday the Palm Islands Nature Reserve in the northern city of Tripoli.

During the opening, Jreissati said that the islands “put Lebanon and Tripoli on the map of global environmental tourism.”
For his part, MP Faysal Karameh said that Minister Jreissati “saw today with his own eyes the great environmental neglect that Tripoli is suffering from.”

He also voiced confidence in Jreissati’s work, not only in Tripoli but in the whole country.
