Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab declared that the amount of funds that accessed the account of one of the individuals involved in the bribery case at the military school reached $19 million.
In a press conference held following the meeting with the National Defense Committee, Bou Saab stressed that the issue remains suspended at the military court, adding that he has referred the case file to the legal department at the Defense Ministry.
“I will leave the investigation to take its course and I have full confidence in the judicial inspection committee,” he said.
