BDL Governor Salameh: Desired reforms will give economy “a factor of confidence”

Banque Du Liban Governor Riyad Salameh partook in the 43rd session of the Arab Central Banks Governors and Arab Monetary Associations held in Cairo.

During the session, Salameh spoke about the latest International monetary, financial and economic developments and their repercussions on the Arab countries, mainly in light of the escalating tensions.

Salameh revealed that the efforts deployed by International central banks to reduce interest rates will reflect a recovery in the economies of the regional countries and Lebanon, especially in terms of liquidity.

Salameh also stressed that the achievement of the desired reforms in Lebanon will give its economy “a factor of confidence” to rise again and revive the private sector.
