Telecommunications Ministry denies possible cancellation of Whatsapp call service
The media office of Minister of Telecommunications Mohammad Chouccair denied on Thursday the circulated news about the presence of “foreign experts in Lebanon to discuss how to cancel Whatsapp call service.”

In a statement, the media office added that such information are not correct, adding that the ministry is not conducting any study in this regard.

“The ministry is keen on providing this service for all mobile users in Lebanon,” the statement went on saying.

The media office also urged media outlets and news websites “not to publish news related to the ministry issued by non-concerned parties, and sometimes from unidentified sources before verifying their authenticity from the Ministry of Telecommunications.”
