The Chinese Embassy in Lebanon commented in statement issued on Tuesday on the current situation in Lebanon, saying that “the Chinese officials are following up on the developments in Lebanon and are realizing that the situation is heading toward breakthrough.”
The embassy hoped in a statement that Lebanon restores its stability as soon as possible, noting that “China, as a friend of Lebanon, supports the efforts deployed by the Lebanese government in maintaining the stability of the state and pushing for economic and social development.”
“The Chinese delegation did not take part in drafting the joint statement issued by the International Support Group for Lebanon on October 22, 2019,” the embassy noted.
