The Association of Banks in Lebanon welcomed the instructions announced by Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh on transfers abroad during his press conference, hoping that his statements will have a positive impact on the work of the banks, especially after the central bank stressed commitment to maintain monetary stability and the Lebanese Pound exchange rate.
The association also praised the governor’s reassurances that the capital control and the haircut are not on the table.
