MP Hady Hbeish stressed Wednesday that his objection was over the decision of Mount Lebanon Public Prosecutor Judge Ghada Aoun to arrest Director-General of the Traffic and Vehicles Management Authority Hoda Salloum, emphasizing his confidence in the Supreme Judicial Council, Public Prosecutor and Judicial Inspection.
In a statement to LBCI, he said that Judge Ghada Aoun arrested Hoda Salloum without an authorization to prosecute, adding that during the interrogation, she did not ask her any question about illegal enrichment. “It is clear that this is a fabrication,” he added.
In this regard, Hbeish declared that he filed a complaint before the Judicial Inspection in which he displaying all the legal violations committed by Judge Aoun, stressing that the Supreme Judicial Council must take over this case and take a decision to right this issue.
He also said that he has the right to have an opinion in the case of Hoda Salloum and it is his duty to defend the people’s rights.
