Health Ministry warns of legal measures against those who transmit fabricated news
The Ministry of Public Health issued a statement on Sunday in which it warned of resorting to legal measures against any side that broadcasts false or fabricated news.

"From time to time, we read various statements, some attributed to the Ministry of Health and others with no source, that refer to new cases of Coronavirus registered in different Lebanese regions," the statement said.

The Ministry reiterated herein that "in wake of any arising development in this regard, it will immediately inform the public opinion in a transparent manner," warning at the same time "all those who broadcast or publish fabricated news and those who lack the lowest levels of moral responsibility, that it will take all legal measures necessary against anyone who is proven to be involved in transmitting such false news."

The statement assured that this measure falls within "ensuring citizens' right to their social health security, and preventing anxiety and panic in their circles."
