Man beats his 5-year-old daughter to death in Tripoli

A 5-year-old Syrian girl identified as Maha D. was beaten to death by her father in the northern city of Tripoli.

The state-run National News Agency reported that Maha arrived on Monday midnight to the Islamic hospital In Tripoli in a critical condition and passed away soon after.

The agency added that signs of severe beatings covered the girl’s body.

This as security forces arrested the girl’s father identified as S. D. and her step-mother called Amar, and opened an investigation into the incident.
