Investigation opened in France after 21 French nationals injured in Beirut explosion
The Paris Prosecution announced on Wednesday that it opened an investigation into causing  "unintended injuries" after the huge explosion that took place at the port of Beirut on Tuesday and left, according to the last death toll, 113 dead and thousands wounded, including 21 French nationals.
 
The Prosecution said in a statement that “a preliminary census allowed the identification of 21 French nationals who were injured in the explosion." 
 
"Judging from the jurisdictions that include incidents taking place abroad, the Collective Accidents Department of the Paris Prosecution opened an investigation today in causing unintended injuries," the statement added.
