Parliament approves declaration of state of emergency, accepts resignation of 8 MPs

The House of Representatives held a session at UNESCO building on Thursday.

The parliament approved the decree on declaring a state of emergency and the exemption of the families of victims from transportation fees.

The parliament also allowed the Ministry of Education to give certificates of the cancelled official exams.

The House of Representatives accepted the resignation of 8 MPs: Nadim Gemayel, Sami Gemayel, Paula Yaacoubian, Elias Hankach, Michel Mouawad, Neemat Frem, Henry Helou, and Marwan Hamadeh.
