Rai: Sects do not have right to monopolize ministries

Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rai said on Sunday that sects in Lebanon do not have the right to monopolize ministries.

 

Rai’s comments were made during his Sunday’s sermon whereby he called on Prime Minister-designate Mostapha Adib to form the government.

 

“We are not ready to accept concessions at the expenses of the country’s individuality and democracy,” Rai added.
