President Aoun says committed to French initiative

President Michel Aoun asserted on Monday adherence to the initiative launched by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the Lebanese crisis.

 

Aoun’s comments were made during a meeting with French ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher whereby he praised the infester shown by Macron toward Lebanon and the Lebanese people.

 

The president lamented that Prime Minister-designate Mostapha Adib was not able to form a new Cabinet under the principles mentioned in the French initiative.

 

He then thanked Foucher, who was paying him a farewell visit, for the efforts he deployed during his stay in Lebanon.
