Tenenti: UNIFIL provided equipment to clean up parts of coastline in south Lebanon
UNIFIL spokesperson Andrea Tenenti said on Saturday that in relation to the oil spill and tar spread in parts of the coastline in south Lebanon, UNIFIL has contacted local authorities to see what help can be provided within available capabilities and equipment.
He also noted that “in order to provide immediate assistance, the UNIFIL has provided equipment and tools together with additional PPEs donated by UNIFIL’s Italian battalion.”
Tenenti’s comments were made to the state-run national news Agency whereby he stressed that “UNIFIL staff members are assisting today the local communities in cleaning the shores of Naqoura.
